The Last Kiss brings to life the world of four Italian couples in their thirties trying to cope with the prospects of adulthood, children, parents and of course love. Francesca is eighteen and falls in love with Carlo, who lives with 27-year old Giulia, the romantic and idealistic mother of his unborn son. His friends Adriano, Alberto, Paolo and Marco reluctantly grapple with their own responsibilities.
Writer/Director Gabriele Muccino has put together a touching, often hilarious take on the ferocity with which young and old cling to the ideals of adolescence. After more than a year in theatres and some 12 million USD in domestic boxoffice, The Last Kiss is the most successful Italian film of last couple of years. It has also had great reception at the Sundance, London and Toronto Film Festivals and has won numerous awards.
