Plot
Brian Keenan and John McCarthy spent four years together as hostages in Lebanon, victims of being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the 'wrong' passports. A remarkable story about an Irish academic and an English journalist from different backgrounds, thrown together because of other people's politics, who have to rely on their solidarity and a friendship that only exists because of the extreme circumstances to keep them sane, and finally, alive.
A superbly acted, well-written true-life drama directed by newcomer John Furse, BLIND FLIGHT is based on the best-selling novel by Brian Keenan "An Evil Cradling" and from John McCarthy's account of the events in the book "Some Other Rainbow". BLIND FLIGHT world premiered at the London Film Festival and opens commercially in UK on April 7th, 2004.
