FAQ

Answers to frequently asked questions

  • I can't upgrade to the latest Adobe Flash Player version

Some browsers are experiencing problems with updating Adobe Flash Player. It might be helpful to install a browser that handles this automatically.

Google Chrome is a good choice and you find it here: www.google.com/chrome/?hl=en

Try to remove and reinstall your Microsoft Silverlight plugin and see if it helps.

  • Why does playback stutter?

    - Playback of high quality movies is hard on internet connection, browser and computer. Make sure that your internet connection is strong enough. You should receive atleast 3 Mbps to avoid stutter and stops. Visit bredbandskollen if you want to check your speed.

    - Keep in mind that a wireless connection rarely keeps the same stability for a longer period. The movie can begin to stutter and reload if the speed is less than 3 Mbps, or if there is a small break in the connection.

    - It may be the browser that has problems handling heavy movies. Mozilla Firefox may have problems with this so try to shut down open windows / tabs to give priority to the film or try another browser. We recommend Internet Explorer, Safari and Google Chrome for the best streaming experience.

    - It could be your computer that can't cope with the playback. Try to change the image quality in the video player. (Applies only to Flash videos)

    - If you have a sound card of the type Asus Xonar DX and have problems with a bad sound, try to enter the Asus control panel and turn off GX2. This is a bug between the sound card driver and Silverlight, and unfortunately nothing we can fix at Headweb.

  • Are you available on phones?

We are working on an app to different mobiles. Information will be shown on our blog.

  • Why are some movies not available for Playstation 3, Boxee and Linux?

Some movies requires Microsoft Silverlight, a technology that is currently not available on the PlayStation 3, Boxee or Linux.

Moonlight for Linux does not currently meet the requirements for playback.

  • Can I downoad your movies?

The movies are only available for streaming.
This means no movie can be downloaded and saved on any device.

  • How long is the rental period?

The rental period is 24 hours and it starts when you play the movie for the first time. You can easily play and pause the movie during the rental period.

  • In what quality are the videos streamed in?

The movies are in both HD (High Definition) and SD (Standard Definition).

  • Is 5.1 sound available on your movies?

5.1 (surround sound) is not yet available with Adobe Flash Player or Microsoft Silverlight.

  • I forgot my password, what to do?

Navigate to the front page of Headweb.com. Click on the "Forgot password?"-link in the login popup. Enter your email address and click the "Send" button. You will now receive an email with a link to reset your password. Click on the link in the email and follow the on screen instructions.

  • How does streaming work?

The video player automatically plays material from our streaming servers. This means you don't have to wait on a downloading movie. What you do need is a constant internet connection. To prevent the movie from stopping, a very small part of the movie is saved in a buffer. These files will automatically be removed when you are done watching the movie and will not be storaged.
