Plot
A documentary that explores the declining birth rates prevalent in the G-7 nations. The phenomenon correlates directly to the unprecedented power and freedom that people enjoy in these societies. The statistics are unequivocal. Generally speaking, young couples in the western world, with their unprecedented power over their own lives, have given society its notice. The birth rate in Europe is two million babies short of what is required to sustain the population per year. In Japan, Canada and the US the problem is the same. It seems the more educated the family, the fewer the children they will have. This documentary is about a demographic revolution, a deliberate personal choice that is causing serious problems for these societies.
