Wicked

Julia Stiles is 14-year-old Ellie Christianson, a teenage girl with typical teenage problems: a bratty little sister (Vanessa Zima), a nagging mother (Chelsea Field), and a father (William R. Moses) who denies her the attention she so desperately craves. She soon figures out there's more going on in their toney suburb than meets the eye: her mom, whom she despises, is carrying on with a neighbor (Patrick Muldoon), while dad has become very friendly with the Swedish au pair. After Ellie's mother is found brutally murdered, a quirky detective (Michael Parks) finds there are many suspects, each with something to hide. In the meantime Ellie begins wearing her mother's clothes, cooking her father elaborate meals, globbing on makeup, and sleeping in her father's bed.
