8 ½

Guido Anselmi, an Italian director, has lost all inspiration for his upcoming film, and it's too late to back out. He wrestles with his conscience, but is unable to come up with a new idea while his mistress, wife, producer, and all of his friends, are pressuring him about one thing or another. Guido retreats into his dreams to shelter himself from the pressure, and there, he finds inspiration to make his new film, and face the world.

Fellini got his third Academy Award for 8 ½, a magnificent film that timelessly convey the human condition with an art few other directors can match. Starring Marcello Mastroianni.
