Om filmen
Rwanda 1994: the bloodiest genocide in history gets underway. An exhausted Catholic priest (John Hurt) and a young idealistic English teacher (Hugh Dancy) find themselves caught in the 1994 Rwandan genocide. They must now choose whether to stay with the thousands of Tutsis about to be massacred or to flee for safety. The barbarity is beyond imagination as a small African country is turned upside down. But not beyond prevention. The UN is there, watching. Watching but not acting.
Shooting Dogs is a truly gripping film based on true events that must never be forgotten. Directed by veteran Michael Caton-Jones (Memphis Belle, Rob Roy, Scandal and the forthcoming Basic Instinct 2) and starring Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee John Hurt and rising star Hugh Dancy.
Shooting Dogs is one of this year’s most important films. World premiere in Toronto Film Festival 2005.

Fantastisk, trist, anbefales
Ikke like bra som Hotel Rwanda, som dog er i toppklasse, og mer enn god nok. Anbefales!
