Jindabyne

Stewart Kane, an Irishman and local from the Australian town of Jindabyne is on a fishing trip with three other men when they discover the dead body of a young woman in the river. Rather than return immediately, they continue fishing and only report their gruesome find days later. It is Stewart’s wife Claire who challenges the men’s failure to act, with repercussions that disturb and deeply affect their relationships with each other and with their families.
Jindabyne is the third feature film by the critically acclaimed director Ray Lawrence, the man behind the hugely successful Lantana and Bliss. Lawrence’s feature films have won numerous international and Australian Awards.
Jindabyne is currently in post production. World premiere Cannes 2006.
